As an experienced New Jersey Divorce Attorney, I am often asked by clients about what will happen to their personal belongings. The first thing you should do is make a comprehensive list and dived into two columns. One column is H for husband and one column is W for wife and put an “x.” Some things are going to be pretty easy to separate. If you have two TVs and they’re both reasonably comparable then you want to separate them. There may be some things that have sentimental value or may have other value for emotional reasons that you want to keep. You want to break everything down.
